Guide a tiny step forward and help!

Thanks to the support of our donors and supporters, we can continue our work.

We welcome your support so that we can offer our children loving care, education and work experience. Only in this way can we offer them the perspective of a more independent existence.

Every donation is welcome. Many thanks from the team of Smiling Kids Bali.

Kampen plays for Bali

Dance and Party benefit with lottery

Kampen Plays for Bali Dance and Party Benefit with a Raffle

This benefit event is organized by the Kampen-based foundation Smiling Kids Bali, which runs a children’s rehabilitation center in northern Bali, where 84 children currently receive medical care and physiotherapy, among other services.

The evening is entirely dedicated to supporting this great cause and is generously sponsored by local Kampen businesses and musicians, hence the name "Kampen Plays for Bali." On Saturday, November 19th, the BelandaBoys—Bauke Bakker and Gertjan van der Weerd—will perform live with their musical friends from Kampen at the Dance and Party Benefit, Kampen Plays for Bali, live at 't Ukien in Kampen.

Friends who are volunteering their talents at this first edition of the benefit include Henk Jans, Robbie van der Weerd, Dick and Robin, Stein Bakker, Joost van Wissen, Suzanne van Gent, Frans van de Kamp, Wim van der Starre, Wilfred Spijkerboer, and possibly some Surprise Friends. The MC for the evening will be Geert Bloupot.

Why this benefit?

In July of this year, thanks to some generous Founding Fathers, Smiling Kids Bali was able to purchase a new location. However, the building still needs to be renovated and furnished to make it suitable for our team and the children. To make this happen, we still need to raise €5,350, and we hope to reach that goal through this benefit event.

The entrepreneurs of Kampen

Interested | Involved | Enthusiastic

This 1st edition of Kampen plays for Bali has been on the agenda for a long time and the ideas about it have been entrusted to paper a while ago. The roll-out of the plans has recently started, the lists of entrepreneurs were compiled and printed and in the past few days we have visited the Kampen entrepreneurs and how enthusiastic they are about this initiative in 'their' Kampen.

A group of four volunteers equipped with bags full of flyers, posters and tape went into the city centre of Kampen with great motivation to ask for a contribution from the entrepreneurs. They were generously provided with vouchers, gift packages and were told that they think it is a great initiative and would like to contribute to it.

We have now gone to almost all the doors of the shops, and the amount of the prize pool is known. Click on the button for a part of the prize pool.

Special thanks from Bali

Terima Kasih Banyak | Thank you very much

They also follow the activities closely from Bali. The gratitude is great that this kind of sponsorship campaigns are set up so far from home and are supported so massively. This ensures the care for children with disabilities and realizes future plans. As can be read in our last newsletter of July 2022.
